Mr. Elias Salame Mr. Elias Salame holds a BSc in Occupational Therapy (2004) from the Faculty of Health and a MSc in Neuropsychology from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, both from the Lebanese University. He is certified in Sensory Integration from the University of Southern California, USA. He is also certified in High/Scope - an early childhood education curriculum - and in Cortical Visual Impairment, both from the US as well.

He started working in the field of Pediatric Neurology, in 2004, in Kuwait, initially at the Conductive Rehabilitation Institution and then at Hope School, where he was Lead Occupational Therapist for five years. He worked in Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) with Palestinian and Syrian refugees and his private practice also covers adult neurology and elderly. He is currently the Senior Occupational Therapist at the American Special Kids Clinic at AUBMC (American University of Beirut Medical Center).

Throughout 15 years of experience, he helped create, establish and organize O.T departments in several places, created and furnished different sensory rooms, attended numerous workshops, and participated as a speaker in national and international conferences.

Since 2012, he held the position of General Secretary of the Lebanese Occupational Therapy Association (LOTA) and presently he is the WFOT delegate member of the Lebanese Occupational therapists Syndicate (LOTS).

حائز على شهادة بكالوريوس في العلاج الانشغالي (2004) من كلية الصحة وماجستير بحثي في علم النفس-العصبي من كلية العلوم الطبية، وكلاهما من الجامعة اللبنانية. حائز على شهادة في تقنية التكامل الحسي(Sensory Integration) من جامعة جنوب كاليفورنيا بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وهو حائز أيضًا على شهادة في High/Scope - منهج تعليمي في مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة - وفي CVI، من الولايات المتحدة أيضًا.

بدأ العمل في مجال الأمراض العصبية عند الأطفال، في عام 2004 ، في الكويت ، في البداية فيConductive Rehabilitation Institution ثم في مدرسة Hope ، كمسؤول قسم العلاج الانشغالي لمدة خمس سنوات. عمل في التأهيل المجتمعي (CBR) مع اللاجئين الفلسطينيين والسوريين وتغطي ممارسته الخاصة أيضًا أمراض الأعصاب لدى كبار السن. وهو حالياً مسؤول قسم العلاج الانشغالي في مستشفى الجامعة الاميركية في بيروت.

على مدار 15 عامًا من الخبرة ، ساعد في إنشاء وتنظيم أقسام علاج انشغالي في العديد من الأماكن ، وإنشاء غرف حسية مختلفة وتأثيثها ، وحضور العديد من ورش العمل، وشارك كمتحدث في المؤتمرات الوطنية والدولية.

منذ عام 2012 ، شغل منصب الأمين العام للجمعية اللبنانية للعلاج الانشغالي (LOTA) وهو حالياً مندوب نقابة المعالجين الانشغاليين في لبنان لدى المنظمة العالمية للمعالجين الانشغاليينWFOT.
